This is a role which focuses on our mid-level employees as they progress into senior management, but which encompasses our people and talent strategy as a whole, ensuring we are delivering a cohesive approach which supports our business goals.
We want you to bring your strong knowledge of talent and leadership to DLG and use your previous experience and creativity to help us empower our people. We have made good progress, and there are already some successful elements in place, but we are always striving to do better and that’s where you come in.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract, but we are an ever-changing business and for the right person there may be future opportunities within the wider team.
Who you will be working with:
As the Talent Manager you will be reporting into Karen Rudd, the Head of Talent and working as part of the wider Centre of Expertise.
The people in HR are a fantastic mix of fun and creative minds, some having recently joined the group, and some have spent the majority of their careers within the company.
What you’ll be doing:
This is a role that focuses on more than just delivering talent programmes. We will be looking to you to challenge our processes and our way of thinking and help us define our talent strategy to make sure it supports our wider people strategy and business plan.
Your creative mindset and ideas around skills sharing, personal growth and methods of achieving results is what we crave. We hope to see proven experience of design and delivery of a talent strategy within other businesses, the learnings you took from that and how they could be applied here.
Your focus will be to shape and own the delivery of our Talent strategy, defining, developing and retaining our mid-level talent. We want you to ensure there is continuity in approach from the early career’s talent team as our people progress so that we deliver at each stage.
You’ll be one of the leading figures in the team, providing encouraging support and mentoring to those around you. This includes working closely with our HR Business Partners and wider HR teams, as well as our People Managers, by making sure they have the skills they need to support our talent management here at DLG.
