Role overview

DLG is evolving. Across every part of our business, teams are embracing new opportunities and putting customers at the heart of everything they do. Whether you're already part of DLG or thinking about joining us, you'll have the chance not only to be recognised for your skills, but also to build on them and be empowered to do your very best.

What you'll be doing:

As End to End Product Owner for our Pet Insurance proposition, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of key capabilities that enable Aviva to become a top 3 insurer in the UK Pet Market. From defining scope and delivery schedules for a multi-brand, omni-channel proposition through to execution and ongoing development, you’ll ensure an outstanding experience for pet owners and drive business value through innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Own and execute the product vision and roadmap for pet insurance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Design customer-centric experiences across the decision journey, informed by market trends and competitive insights.
  • Lead the transition of current pet products onto Aviva’s target state technology, ensuring smooth migration (experience with ICE or Guidewire advantageous).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Aviva and Direct Line to manage business strategy, portfolio prioritisation, pricing, and performance tracking.
  • Drive end-to-end customer experience across web, mobile, and apps, working with scrum teams to improve KPIs.
  • Develop business cases and scope requirements for product improvements and new initiatives.
  • Translate product themes, epics, and features into a prioritised sprint backlog.
  • Champion agile delivery frameworks and promote best practices within the team.
  • Monitor and communicate product performance, including behavioural insights and financial metrics.
  • Share digital insights and market trends to inform product strategy and continuous improvement.

What you'll need:

We’re looking for an experienced product professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering customer value:

  • Proven experience in product management and relationship management, ideally with consumer-facing or pet-related products.
  • Ability to set and deliver commercial and customer KPIs, using insights and analytics to drive improvements.
  • Strong skills in business case development, benefits calculation, and roadmap prioritisation.
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced, agile environment, driving delivery and managing sprints.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across multi-disciplinary teams.

Closing Date – Friday 16th January

When I joined, people were so welcoming, so friendly, and I’ve found the best people here.

I’ve got aspirations, I know where I want to go, and I can have that conversation with my manager to help me to get there and make a plan which is really nice.

The team are 100% the best bit about this role. We work in very demanding situations, but I’m most proud of the team and the functions that we all serve.
