About us
Green Flag has embarked on an exciting journey to launch its very own patrol model. The model has been designed with improved customer outcomes, efficiency gains and income generation firmly at its core. This model at this stage, creates the need to recruit an additional Roadside Area Manager to oversee the our roll out in the South of England, whilst helping to learn and adapt through the next iteration launches through 2025 and 2026. The patrol force model entails Roadside Technicians directly attending more straightforward, cost and customer efficient jobs in comparison to a comprehensive model which mirrors traditional model employed by other Roadside Assistance companies. The role will require the individual to be open to a “test, learn and adapt” culture, whilst working within a formalised and safety conscious structure and play a key role in the Leadership Team within GF Patrol and wider Customer, Roadside and Network Services Directorate.

The role will report directly into the Director of Customer Roadside and Network Services.

What you'll be doing:
This is a permanent role covering the Yorkshire/Midlands region and ideally needs someone to be based near our Leeds or Birmingham offices as you would be expected to work from one of the locations 50% of the time.

  • Execute the roll-out plan for the Green Flag Rescue Patrol force within region, maximising roadside revenue opportunities, effectively controlling spend and monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • Accountable for leading the growth and development of the patrol force creating high performing teams’ within region.
  • Drive patrol performance and ensure performance metrics are consistently achieved across the allocated region.
  • Identify and deliver efficiencies and roadside revenue opportunities whilst meeting the needs of our customers and adhering to risk and compliance requirements.
  • Translate business strategy into meaningful direction and priorities for your team to achieve, providing support and guidance and maintaining clear accountability for the individual.
  • Own, track and report performance and sustainability metrics for the area to the Head of Roadside, in accordance with the Green Flag patrol force strategy.
  • Ensure that safe working practices are embedded at the heart of the Green Flag patrol force.

What you'll need:

  • Recognised as having extensive roadside product knowledge.
  • Best practice and first-class Health & Safety behaviours.
  • Live and breathe the “People Leadership” qualities
  • Experience in designing and embedding new operational models
  • Remote Management of teams
  • Data development and oversight will be required as a core attribute
  • Awareness and adherence to all Risk, Governance and HR policies and processes.
