A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experience Personal Injury Claims Solicitor to join our dedicated Motability team at DLG Legal Services. The role if offered on 12 Months Fixed Terms Contract basis and will be based at our Leeds office (smart hybrid working)
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for the conduct of litigation across an allocated caseload.
Oversee handlers working on supporting tasks within those cases
Ensure quality and consistency of work prepared by case handlers.
Apply professional judgment to case strategy, progression and settlement decisions.
Work closely with Motability team leader and colleagues to ensure seamless case management.
Ensure matters are managed in accordance with procedural rules and professional obligations.
Safeguard compliance with SRA regulations, Civil Procedure Rules, and client protocols.
Maintain accurate records and ensure supporting staff work within defined processes.
Keep up to date with developments in litigation practice and insurance recovery.
Skills and Experience:
Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
Fast Track RTA claims handling experience with Personal injury, within an insurance company or law firm environment.
A working knowledge of OIC and MOJ Pre Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules for Personal Injury Claims.
A working knowledge of Tariff and Non Tariff valuations, JC Guidelines for the assessment of general damages in personal injury cases
Strong communication skills and able to engage effectively with clients.
Working towards and achieving defined Business targets and measures.
Able to work well under pressure whilst retaining high attention to detail.
Location: Leeds, LS1
Working hours: 35 hour per week (Monday – Friday)
Ways of Working: Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 50% of their time in the office
